Description:
ASAP Computer Systems (a Syracuse University CASE Center company) is looking for a programmer / developer to design and maintain websites for its clients and internal needs. Responsibilities include working on the front-end components of web applications, designing graphical components, analyzing clients’ requirements, speaking directly with clients, and working in a team environment.
Skills required:
Candidate must have, or be working towards a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or related field.
An understanding and proficiency of web standards (such as XHTML and CSS), ASP.NET, JavaScript, and MS-SQL, are required. A strong knowledge of IIS 6.0 and Windows Server 2003 platform is highly recommended.
Excellent written and verbal English skills are also required. Interpersonal communication skills are a must.
Adobe Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS, and FlashMX design skills are desired.
Candidate must be available for work throughout winter, spring, or summer breaks, however time is allowed off for holidays. Higher-education is encouraged and embraced so work hours are flexible to accommodate class scheduling, etc. Depending on candidate’s availability, this position is available part-time or full-time.
